M3R: Localized Rainfall Nowcasting with Meteorology-Informed MultiModal Attention

M3R is a novel AI architecture for rainfall nowcasting that integrates visual radar imagery and numerical weather station data through a multimodal attention mechanism. It uses weather station time series as queries to selectively focus on spatial radar features, demonstrating improved performance over existing methods in localized prediction.
